The 2012 NFL draft saw some solid linebackers go in the first round, starting with Boston College's Luke Kuechly going to the Panthers as the ninth overall pick. There were three other linebackers that went in the first round last year including Bruce Irvin (15th overall), Shea McClellin (19th overall) and Dont'a Hightower (25th overall).
